“Encouraging relationships and discovering gifts and talents
within a creative all age community”
We’ve got a whole host of fun things for mums, dads and children to do together in our Church Centre, and if you’re really quick off the mark, you can get round most of them. You might, of course, get so absorbed into making a bird box or bird feeder that you won’t want to whiz off and learn some magic tricks, dress up in costume, ice a cake, ring the church bells, create a swan from an apple, arrange some flowers or learn face painting from one of our experts. It’s entirely up to you, so long as you’re having fun and you’re doing it together.
What do we do?
This is Messy Church, and we really hope you’ll like it. The idea is that if you’re a child, then you bring an adult. If, however, you’re an adult, then you bring a child. We always start by gathering over a mug of tea or coffee at around 2:45pm before moving into our craft activities around 3:00pm. Just before 4:00pm we transfer to the church itself to celebrate God together in fifteen minutes of song, story and prayer. After that, we enjoy a light meal together and have the opportunity of sharing what we’ve been doing with each other.
When and where do we meet?
Normally held on a Saturday afternoon in alternate months.
The provisional dates for 2017 are as follows:
*** Break for the summer holidays ***
STOP PRESS: The intention is to run Messy Church monthly from September 2017.
