Wedding Rehearsal

The wedding rehearsal is where we run through the words and movement of the wedding service with you and your wedding party.  Wedding rehearsals are a lot of fun, and it will take a lot of pressure off you when you know what exactly is going to happen and when!  The rehearsal usually lasts around an hour.

Wedding Rehearsal

Who should come to the rehearsal?

As many of the main wedding party as possible!

Certainly you and your fiancé, both sets of parents, the best man and any bridesmaids and page boys, the ushers, and anyone else with an active role to play within the service; such as someone reading the Bible passage or leading the prayers.

Other people who it often helps to have present at the rehearsal are the photographers and a representative of any musicians who will be involved on the big day.

What will happen at the rehearsal?

At the rehearsal we will run through the whole wedding – all the words and readings and you will get a chance to practice your declarations and vows.

Wedding rehearsals usually take place about a week before your wedding on a Thursday or Friday evening.

The vicar will discuss the date and time of your rehearsal with you at one of the Wedding Planning Meetings.
